Talk about the history of PSPM, it was founded by Betawi elders who lived in Kalideres.
"Previously the paguyuban focused on preserving the Betawi martial art. But in 2014, it developed in the art of the Gambang Kromong, Palang Pintu, Mask Dance, Ondel-ondel and so forth," he told.
No wonder, the PSPM base itself is filled with various traditional musical instruments, such as Gambang Kromong, etc.
In addition, this paguyuban that has 30 members with ages from 18-50 years is administratively registered at West Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-agency.
All this time, he assessed that Betawi traditional arts, which he studied, are often displayed at wedding parties and performances in a number of areas.
"We also want to be involved in the arts and culture stages initiated by the city government thus Betawi arts and culture can remain sustainable," he stressed.
